This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains broader data practices for Sendarix services.
This legal document is provided in English. If translations or localized summaries are made available, the English version controls to the maximum extent permitted by law.
1. Introduction and scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Sendarix uses cookies, browser storage, pixels, scripts, tags, challenge widgets, and similar technologies on the public Sendarix website and marketing pages at www.sendarix.com. It also describes the cookie banner, consent and preference controls, browser-side storage used by public pages, and security or CDN technologies used to help deliver and protect the website.
This Policy does not fully describe dashboard authentication cookies, dashboard session storage, app security controls, SMTP/API operational logs, email delivery logs, recipient data, message processing, or customer email traffic. Those practices are described in our Privacy Policy and, where Sendarix processes Customer Personal Data as a processor, the Data Processing Agreement.
2. English controlling language
This legal document is provided in English. Cookie Policy pages, modal views, and localized legal routes are intended to display the English version of this document. If translations or localized summaries are made available, the English version controls to the maximum extent permitted by law.
3. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser. Local storage stores data in your browser until you clear it or the site changes it. Session storage usually lasts for the browser tab or session. Pixels, tags, and scripts are code snippets that can collect technical events or cause your browser to contact another service. Challenge widgets and security checks may evaluate browser, device, network, or request signals to protect the website. We use “similar technologies” for technologies that store information on, or read information from, your device even if they are not technically cookies.
4. Properties and technologies covered
This Policy applies to public website experiences at https://www.sendarix.com, including marketing pages, the cookie banner, Cookie Preferences controls, public-page browser storage, public-page analytics where consented, and necessary security or delivery technologies used to keep those pages available.
The Sendarix dashboard at https://app.sendarix.com may use additional cookies, local storage, session storage, and security technologies for login, authentication, account security, fraud prevention, product functionality, and service operation. Dashboard and email infrastructure processing are addressed primarily in the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and DPA rather than this public website Cookie Policy.
5. Categories of technologies we use
We group website technologies into these categories:
- Strictly necessary, security, and core functionality — used to load pages, keep the website available, prevent abuse, detect bots, rate-limit suspicious traffic, protect forms, support edge security, and provide requested page functionality.
- Preference and consent storage — used to remember your cookie choice and avoid showing the banner unnecessarily.
- Optional analytics — used to understand public website traffic and performance only where enabled and consented where required.
- Optional marketing or advertising — used only if Sendarix later introduces such technologies and obtains consent where required.
- Embedded or third-party resources — fonts, stylesheets, scripts, images, libraries, or other resources that may cause your browser to contact third-party servers.
6. Strictly necessary, security, and core functionality
Strictly necessary and security technologies are used to load pages, maintain availability, protect forms, detect or limit automated abuse, prevent fraud, reduce malicious traffic, support CDN or edge delivery, and keep the website secure and reliable. These technologies may process IP address, request headers, user agent, device or browser characteristics, timestamps, request patterns, challenge results, and security risk signals.
These technologies are not used for unrelated advertising profiling. You can block some of them in your browser settings, but the website may not load correctly, security checks may fail, or requested features may not work.
7. Preference and consent storage
When you respond to the cookie banner, Sendarix stores your choice in your browser so we can remember whether you selected Necessary only or Accept all. This storage is used for consent management and site experience, not for advertising.
| Technology | Purpose |
|---|---|
Browser localStorage key sx_cookie_consent_v1 | Stores consent state: mode (necessary or accept when saved; before a choice, the site may use unset in memory only), necessary (always true), analytics and marketing (true only after Accept all), and ts (milliseconds since epoch when saved). Legacy records may be normalized when read. |
If you clear site data, change browser or device, use private browsing, block browser storage, or if Sendarix materially changes the consent storage format, you may be asked to choose again.
8. Optional analytics and marketing technologies
The public website currently includes a Google Analytics tag on the home page, but it is loaded through Sendarix consent controls and should run only after analytics consent is available. If you choose Necessary only, optional analytics should remain inactive on pages that use the current consent helper.
We do not currently use public website cookies to sell personal data. We do not knowingly use public website cookies to share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If Sendarix introduces optional marketing or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and consent controls before or when they go live where required.
Optional technologies may produce incomplete or aggregated signals because of browser settings, privacy tools, ad blockers, network behavior, consent choices, or provider limitations.
9. Third-party providers and embedded resources
Sendarix may rely on CDN, hosting, DNS, security, analytics, and infrastructure providers to deliver and protect the website. Embedded resources such as fonts, stylesheets, scripts, images, or libraries from third-party CDNs may cause your browser to connect to third-party servers. Current public pages include external resources such as Google Fonts, jsDelivr-hosted Bootstrap JavaScript, and, where analytics consent is present on the home page, Google Analytics.
Those providers may receive IP address, request headers, browser or device metadata, timing information, and similar technical data needed to deliver the resource, measure events where consented, or protect the service. This Policy does not list every service provider or subprocessor; the Privacy Policy and DPA describe broader data handling and processor relationships where applicable.
10. Legal basis and consent
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy rules, or similar laws apply, strictly necessary and security technologies are used because they are necessary to provide the requested website or service, or because Sendarix has legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, site reliability, and service integrity where that basis is recognized. Optional analytics and marketing technologies are used with consent where consent is required.
Refusing optional analytics or marketing technologies should not block access to the public website, although strictly necessary or security technologies may still be required for pages and forms to function safely.
11. How to manage or withdraw choices
- Cookie banner: Choose Necessary only or Accept all when the banner is shown.
- Cookie Preferences: Use the Cookie Preferences control in the website footer to reopen the banner and change your choice.
- Browser and device settings: You can block or delete cookies and site storage through your browser. Third-party browser tools, privacy extensions, and platform controls may offer additional choices.
If you block or delete strictly necessary or security-related technologies, parts of the site may not work correctly, security-related flows may be less reliable, and we may need to ask for your preference again.
12. Retention
Browser-side consent preferences remain until you clear site data for Sendarix, replace them with a new choice, or Sendarix updates or overwrites the storage format. The current implementation does not assign a separate fixed expiry date beyond what your browser retains.
Server-side website and security logs are retained as described in the Privacy Policy. This Cookie Policy is not the main policy for SMTP/API logs, delivery event logs, message metadata, recipient data, or message processing.
13. Relationship with other Sendarix legal documents
This Cookie Policy covers public website cookies and similar technologies. The Privacy Policy covers broader personal data handling. The Data Processing Agreement applies where Sendarix processes Customer Personal Data as a processor. The Terms of Service govern use of the Service, and the Acceptable Use Policy governs prohibited use and abuse enforcement.
14. Updates to this Cookie Policy
Sendarix may update this Cookie Policy when website technologies, providers, consent controls, law, or regulatory guidance change. When we post a new version, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes may be notified where practicable. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced or materially changed, this Policy and consent controls should be updated before or when those technologies go live where required.
